Since completing 2000’s ‘Barcelona Nights’, Ottmar Liebert fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is the first studio album from Ottmar Liebert since bad diagnosis in 2000. This album is in perfect progression from Ottmar Liebert!
is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Ottmar Liebert released so far.
Sante Fe catches attention immediately, Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Isla Del Sol is my favorite song on Barcelona Nights The Best Of. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Nice and different song. Hearts Still/Beating is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. I like the agression and power of Driving To Madrid. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Lyrics of Dancing Under The Moon are precise and evocative. Once you hear Festival, you will listen to it over and over. La Rosa Negra is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. When I listen to 2 The Night in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Borrasca - Check out that bassline! Bajo La Luna Mix is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.
