After seeing Introit, I had to have a good Gregorian cd. In Epiphania Domini carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. In Epiphania Domini isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
on In Epiphania Domini is solid and easy to listen to.
Graduale is perfect. The opening track Alleluia is very much like you would expect from other albums. Offertorium is pretty funky and mellow. Communio is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Deus, In Adjutorium is possibly the best song Gregorian has come up. Invitatorium - For me, this is the best of the album. Hymnus is Gregorian’s best work in years. Illuminare actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Gregorian’s face. I think Omnes De Saba is the best song Gregorian has ever done. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Magi Veniut Ab Oriente, which shows, blatantly, how much Gregorian has evolved as a singer. Gregorian is hitting on all cylinders in Cum Natus Esset. Stella, Quam Viderant is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Videntes Stellam is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Tria Sunt Munera is probably the most interesting track on In Epiphania Domini. Te Deum (7:47) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs.
