This is the first studio album from Jean Michel Jarre since bad diagnosis in 2000. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Jean Michel Jarre’s album Metamorphoses Showcase falls to No. 2 with 147,000, a sales slide of 76%. For older fans Metamorphoses Showcase will put a massive smile accross your face. Introduction and Je Me Souviens is really good.
Although is very melodic it is far from sad.
I find myself hearing bits of Je Me Souviens here and there throughout my waking hours. I think Hey Gagarin is the best song Jean Michel Jarre has ever done. Millions Of Stars has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. C’est La Vie is beautiful, yet underrated track. Miss Moon is one of the more up-tempo songs on Metamorphoses Showcase. Bells sets the tone for the entire album. Rendezvous A Paris is another favourite of mine. Tout Est Bleu - arguably the best track on Metamorphoses Showcase album. Give Me A Sign - A classic Jean Michel Jarre track. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly.
