While no new Montgomery Gentry album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1999 tour in North America. There were many famous songs of Montgomery Gentry available. This album has some very good songs like Hillbilly Shoes and Trying To Survive. Tattoos and Scars touched my soul like nothing else.

It’s such an underrated song. I came to like Lonely And Gone. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Tattoos and Scars is Self Made Man. Daddy Won’t Sell The Farm the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. If A Broken Heart Could Kill which is my favorite is a truly Montgomery Gentry sounding song. I’ve Loved A Lot More Than I’ve Hurt is a striking and quite long song. Didn’t You Mama Tell Ya’ is one of the best records ever. Trouble Is is astounding. I like the idea behind Tattoos & Scars. All Night Long has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Montgomery Gentry’s strong vocals come to the fore.
