For older fans Bombay The Hard Way will put a massive smile accross your face. There is no doubt that Kalyanji and Anandji has talent. On Bombay The Hard Way album, Kalyanji and Anandji have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Song is actually a funny song.
The Good, The Bad and The Chut is almost impossible to review. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Ganges A Go-Go is a striking and quite long song. The Great Gambler marked the continuation of Kalyanji and Anandji in style evolution. Professor Pyarelal is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Fists Of Curry is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. One listen to the sheer beauty of Punjabis, Pimps and Players was all I needed. As always, Kalyanji and Anandji’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Satchidananda (3:06) a good melody. Theme From Don is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. No Kalyanji and Anandji song has come close to capturing my attention as Fear Of A Brown Planet did. Uptown Bollywood Nights had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Kundans Hideout is a great opener for Bombay The Hard Way. Swami Safari is astounding.
