Since completing 2000’s ‘Behind The Music’, The Vandals fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. The Vandals was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from The Vandals and Look What I Almost Stepped In together. eleven years ago, The Vandals briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Sorry, Mom And Dad”. This is one of The Vandals best albums
- I just love it.
Sorry, Mom And Dad gives good insight into the truths. Vocals of The Vandals in Go really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. The New You catches attention immediately, The Vandals sings his heart out in Flowers Are Pretty. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Look What I Almost Stepped In. What About Me? - For me, this is the best of the album. You’re Not The Boss Of Me is one of the best records ever. I’ve found myself listening to I’m The Boss Of Me back to back and back many times. That’s My Girl makes a person feel cool. Get A Room is pretty funky and mellow. I believe San Berdu is one of the most perfect, heartfelt songs ever written. Crippled & Blinded is a strong cut, one of many. Such hits like Fourteen will leave you hooked.
