It’s natural for G. Thorogood and The Destroyers to take a stab at ‘I Don’t Trust Nobody’ considering her long-professed love for Madonna. On Half a Boy / Half a Man album, G. Thorogood and The Destroyers have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. G. Thorogood and The Destroyers’s debut, ‘Half a Boy / Half a Man’, does not fit easily into one genre. Unappreciated gift to Rock: Blues
G. Thorogood and The Destroyers sings in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved.
Double Shot motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Half A Boy, Half A Man very upbeat. As Long As I Have You one is one of the better boring ones. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Nothing New is one of these floating songs. Just Passin’ Thru - Check out that bassline! Hellbound Train (DownboundTrain) gets you up and jumping. When listening to Not Tonight (I Have A Heartache), it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. You Gonna is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. A unique and uplifting song.
