Now signed to Summoning’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Stronghold” leads Summoning’s back-to-school campaign. On the Australia charts, superstar Summoning’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Stronghold carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Great Rock: Sympho right here!
is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
The sound in Long Lost To Where No Pathway Goes is really warm and Summoning’s signature voice is still very much present. In The Glory Disappears the music gets its power. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Stronghold. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Where Hope and Daylight Die is my favorite song on Stronghold. The Rotting Horse On The Deadly Ground still maintains something of a specific flourish. The Shadow Lies Frozen On The Hills defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. The Loud Music Of The Sky gets you up and jumping. Only one song from Stronghold named A Distant Flame Before The Sun really got me.
