This -song debut EP shows the promise that Breakbeat - Various Artists has. John Digester has compared writing for Breakbeat - Various Artists’s new album to that on ‘Slam The Breaks On (Volume 1)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. ‘Slam The Breaks On (Volume 1)’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Slam The Breaks On (Volume 1) is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle.
Suprize Package (Mixmaster Mike) (2:31) - awsome. Visualize (Mr Complex) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Put Concrete Schoolyard (Jurassic 5) into car stereo for your highway driving Candyman (Rob Swift Vocal Remix) (Cornershop) is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. I believe What Is It (Brixx) is one of the most excellent, heartfelt songs ever written. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Spoonie Gee (Spoonie Is Back). Lesson 7 (DJ Bombjack) is outstanding work of Breakbeat - Various Artists. Feel The Feeling (Runaways) - For me, this is the best of the album. Chicken In A Box (Mr Scruff) was the first single release from the album Slam The Breaks On (Volume 1). Breakbeat - Various Artists offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Album opener (I Need The) Disko Doktor (Clockwork Voodoo Freaks Mix) (Space Raiders) is a bright, upbeat ditty. To Tha Break (Dubz Deluxe) is one of my favorite songs by Breakbeat - Various Artists. Ala Kaboo (Idjut Boys Remix) (Sound 5) catches attention immediately, Back To The Top (Krafty Kuts) - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Breakbeat - Various Artists. Ya Don’t Stop (Krafty Kuts) on Slam The Breaks On (Volume 1) is solid and easy to listen to. Jenifa Taught Me (Derwin’s Revenge) (De La Soul) is a striking and quite long song. Heavy Action (Sound Stage Orchestra) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Funkin Miss Loader (Sir Drew) has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Pepe’s Big Organ actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Breakbeat - Various Artists’s face. I Know U Got Soul (Krafty Kuts Remix) (Trade Secrets featuring Eric B) is a good listen every once in a while. Tabasco (Remix) (Headlamp) one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Overall a nice softer song. Breakbeat - Various Artists sings Everybody’s Funkin (Flint) in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Clap Ya Hands (Avenue A) has a fun tempo. Super Sound (Pepe Deluxe) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Tearin The Country Up (Hardwire) is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Breakbeat - Various Artists emotions are reflected through Sinsimilia (Soul Of Man Remix) (Stoppa). This is probably my favorite song on the album. I came to like Salsa Boogaloo (Krafty Kuts). Fat Poppadaddi (Quincy Jones) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. When I listen to Pearl Baby Pearl (Latin Boo-Ga-Loo) (Benny Poole & The Masters) in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Freak Some More (Cut La Roc) hits the heart. Soul Surfing (Fatboy Slim) is perfect work of Breakbeat - Various Artists. From Rusholme With Love (Mint Royale) as a highlight of Slam The Breaks On (Volume 1) contains a ton of marvelous melodies. Uhura (Drum-Attic Twins) is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Music of Badder Badder Schwing (Freddy Fresh vs Fatboy Slim) is gentle, never overbearing. Twist And Shout (Captain Funk) is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle.
