In Pelot d’Hennebont it becomes nowhere more obvious that Tri Yann has yet to define own style. La decouverte ou l’ignorance gives taste of what makes Tri Yann special as a musician. In Tri martelod Tri Yann spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Le mariage insolite de Marie la Bretonne is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Deja mal marie one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Music in Kan an Kan is exquisite as in all tracks of La Legende (cd2). Gwerz jorj courtois hits the heart. This track is clearly meant to showcase Tri Yann’s vocal abilities. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on La Legende (cd2). Rond de Saint Vincent revival is really the reason why I recommend buying La Legende (cd2). After about the third Si mort a mors listen through, I began to believe this song is Tri Yann’s essence. Sur la fosse au boulot - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Some of the arrangements found on La Legende (cd2) are surprisingly edgy. I believe Prince qu’en mains tenez is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Noel guerandais is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Song Kerfank 1870 is actually a funny song.
