This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Natalie MacMaster. Natalie MacMaster’s debut, ‘My Roots Are Showing’, does not fit easily into one genre. It has been sixteen years Natalie MacMaster’ last studio CD, “My Roots Are Showing” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This album is a scorcher!
- Check out that bassline!
A’Chuthag (The Cuckoo) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Balmoral Highlanders is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after My Roots Are Showing have ended. Song Captain Keeler is actually a funny song. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Natalie MacMaster has astounded me with this amazing track. Glad You Made It, Howie! one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. A unique and uplifting song. First time I heard Queen Of The West was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing. The Boys Of The Lake is another favourite of mine. The Shakin’s O’ The Pocky - arguably the best track on My Roots Are Showing album. Blew our minds when we first heard The Wildcat. Willie Fraser is perfect.
