After seeing Tuning, I had to have a good Chris Amelar cd. This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Chris Amelar has. Chris Amelar was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Chris Amelar and JAMMIN’ Funk Guitar together. I wish that “JAMMIN’ Funk Guitar” album was instrumental.
Within the first few notes of it’s perfectly clear that Chris Amelar is living this song.
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Listening to Flip Flop you can hear that Chris Amelar has still amazing chemistry with band members. Marachino is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through JAMMIN’ Funk Guitar. Metric gives good insight into the truths. Fried Eggs is the albums biggest surprise. Antimatter I just LOVE this mix! Rebound one is one of the better boring ones. Suburban Jungle is one of these floating songs. Such hits like Late Nite will leave you hooked. Makeover is nothing but pure genius.
