Jim Jones has compared writing for Outkast’s new album to that on ‘Stankonia’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. There is no doubt that Outkast has talent. For older fans Stankonia will put a massive smile accross your face. Unappreciated gift to Hip-Hop
This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor.
Gasoline Dreams was the first single release from the album Stankonia. Get Stankonia and turn on I’m Cool (Interlude) if you are going to sip your wine late at night. So Fresh, So Clean has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Ms. Jackson is the funkiest number on the album. Snappin’ and Trappin’ - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. D.F. (Interlude) is Outkast’s best work in years. Spaghetti Junction is beautiful, yet underrated track. Kim and Cookie (Interlude) can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Outkast is all about. I’ll Call Before I Come - For me, this is the best of the album. B.O.B. - My least favorite song on this album. When I listen to Xplosion in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Good Hair (Interlude) (0:15) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Humble Mumble - another great track from the Stankonia album. Drinkin’ Again (Interlude) (0:25) a good melody. When listening to Red Velvet, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. I have all of Outkast’s tracks and Crusin’ In The ATL (Interlude) is probably the most his introspective effort. The song feels complete. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Toilet Tisha is my favorite song on Stankonia. The song Slum Beautiful ending is my favorite… so catchy! Outkast is one of artists that allow his songs like Pre-nump (Interlude) to stand on their own and be heard. Some call Stankonia (Stanklove) from Stankonia as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.
