This disc has all of the essential Ja Rule classics. On Rule 3:36 album, Ja Rule have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Ja Rule was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Ja Rule and Rule 3:36 together. Exciting stuff.
Ja Rule sings his heart out in .
Such hits like Whatching Me will leave you hooked. Music and lyrics of Between Me and You feat. Christina Milian creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Put It On Me feat. Vita is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Ja Rule released so far. 6 Feet Underground - a classic song. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Die feat. Tah Murdah, Black Child, Dave Bing which is my favorite is a truly Ja Rule sounding song. Fuck You feat. 01, Vita is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. I’ll Fuck You Girl (Skit) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. This is probably my favorite song on the album. The first time I listened to Extasy feat. Tah Murdah, Black Child I was struck by its astounding sound. I hope to keep hearing Ja Rule works for a long time to come. I Cry feat. Lil’ Mo as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. One Of Us is probably the most interesting track on Rule 3:36. Chris Black (Skit) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. I have all of Ja Rule’s tracks and The Rule Won’t Die is probably the most his introspective effort.
