There is no doubt that Pulp has talent. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Pulp’s album Very Best ‘99 falls to No. 2 with 748,000, a sales slide of 67%. This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Pulp has. Another great offering from Pulp.
- I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
02 - Disco 2000 is pretty funky and mellow. This song may be the most meaningful. 04 - Live Bed Show sets the tone for the entire album. Nice and different song. It’s a great pleasure to listen to 06 - I Spy from the beginning to the end. This is probably my favorite song on the album. 08 - I’m A Man - This is a very lively song. 09 - Tomorrow Never Lies on Very Best ‘99 is solid and easy to listen to. In 10 - Misshapes Pulp is at his best. 11 - TV Movie is just simply stunning. 12 - Underwear is the more seemingly obscure song on Very Best ‘99 that bear up best to repeated listening. Pulp sings his heart out in 13 - A Little Soul.
