This is one of the best Cd’s Dr. Ring Ding and The Senior Allstars has dropped to date. On Diggin’ Up Dirt album, Dr. Ring Ding and The Senior Allstars have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. one years ago, Dr. Ring Ding and The Senior Allstars briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Turn It Down (Turn Your Lamp)”. Diggin’ Up Dirt is the best essence of Dr. Ring Ding and The Senior Allstars.
is simple, dignified and effective, Dr. Ring Ding and The Senior Allstars refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more.
Turn It Down (Turn Your Lamp) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. I listened to the opening track Little One and liked it a lot. Georgia Dub (Rainy Night…) is such a excellent and optimistic song that things can get just better. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. In The Mood For Love - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Diggin’ Up Dirt. Queen Dub is really the reason why I recommend buying Diggin’ Up Dirt. The Sheikh’s Feast is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Susi is possibly the best song Dr. Ring Ding and The Senior Allstars has come up. Call Di Doctor Remix (f.Storm) is a good listen every once in a while. Album opener Fight Over God (feat Django..) is a bright, upbeat ditty. Daisy is a great opener for Diggin’ Up Dirt. Rude Boy Style Remix is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Golden Gate (7:07) a good melody.
