Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Skoidats on ‘The Ballad Of Breckenridge’. Lead single “The Ballad Of Breckenridge” and “Too Long” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This album has some very good songs like The Ballad Of Breckenridge and Too Long. Cure For Whatever Ales You is not something you should pass up.
is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Skoidats released so far.
Too Long has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Jeckyll Vs. Hyde is beautiful, yet underrated track. The Tempest is a striking and quite long song. OI (When The Rain Come) is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Blew our minds when we first heard Apathy. The opening track Free Consultation is very much like you would expect from other albums. R’aggro - A classic Skoidats track. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Lines On Ale - a classic song. Skoidats is one of artists that allow his songs like Night Of The Droogs to stand on their own and be heard. Skoidats has astounded me with this amazing track. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Cure For Whatever Ales You. In Back To Work it becomes nowhere more obvious that Skoidats has yet to define own style. We Will Never Stop stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Running Riot (Live In Amsterdam) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.
