Now signed to Emmylou Harris’s Virgin Records, the title track from second album “Last Date” leads Emmylou Harris’s back-to-school campaign. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Emmylou Harris’s album Last Date falls to No. 2 with 245,000, a sales slide of 98%. Lead single “I’m Movin’ On” and “It’s Not Love (But It’s Not Bad)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This album is awesome.
This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor.
Get Last Date and turn on It’s Not Love (But It’s Not Bad) if you are going to sip your wine late at night. So Sad (To Watch Good Love Go Bad) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. It’s such an underrated song. Racing in the Streets one of the best in my collection. Music of Long May You Run is gentle, never overbearing. Emmylou Harris breathes new life into the music in We’ll Sweep Out the Ashes in the Morning. Juanita is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Christine’s Tune (A.K.A. Devil in Disguise) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I like (Lost His Love) On Our Last Date because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. When I listen to Buckaroo/Love’s Gonna Live Here [Medley] in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Another Pot O’ Tea [*] make listening to Emmylou Harris like being in some sort of time warp. Emmylou Harris must have run out of lyrics on the next track Maybe Tonight [*].
