This is one of the best Cd’s Bob Marley and Wailers has dropped to date. This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Bob Marley and Wailers has. Since Bob Marley and Wailers last CD (Remix Revolution Greats) on Savoy Records back in 1999, I have felt a massive void in my life. Such great and happy songs.
defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone.
If you are a Bob Marley and Wailers fan, you will love Put It On [Astralasia Remix]. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Lyrics of Kaya [Remixed by Kevin Haskins of Love & Rockets] Bass up are precise and evocative. African Herbsman [Meek Remix] actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Bob Marley and Wailers’s face. Mr. Brown [Spahn Ranch Remix] is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. African Herbsman [Remixed by Sen Dog of Cypress Hill] - I just love it. Don’t Rock My Boat [Sheep on Drugs Remix] was the first single release from the album Remix Revolution Greats. Fussin’ and Fightin’ [David Harrow Remix] is pretty funky and mellow. Strong, powerful vocals of Bob Marley and Wailers in Don’t Rock My Boat [Julian Beeston Remix] are very impressive. Some of the arrangements found on Remix Revolution Greats are surprisingly edgy. Brain Washing [Filter Secton Remix] is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Music of Sun Is Shining [Silverbeam Remix] is gentle, never overbearing. In Riding High [Fear No Art/Monto Phonics Remix] it becomes nowhere more obvious that Bob Marley and Wailers has yet to define own style.
