On Three Calamities album, Switchblade Symphony have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There is so much to love about Switchblade Symphony, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. For older fans Three Calamities will put a massive smile accross your face. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
Wicked is the albums biggest surprise. Some of the arrangements found on Three Calamities are surprisingly edgy. Invitation is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Switchblade Symphony ever produced. Fear is cool song though, very addictive. Opening track Monsters shows the best of Switchblade Symphony. Therapy is a excellent, simple song by Switchblade Symphony at the top of his game. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. I now have Green (Hidden Track) as one of my personal favorites. Music and lyrics of Into The Sky creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Best song on the album, love it.
