Melt Banana had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This is the first studio album from Melt Banana since bad diagnosis in 1999. There is so much to love about Melt Banana, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album is awesome.

R R a G G is worth the money. Get 13,000 Miles At Light Velocity and turn on W E D G E if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Seesaw Semiology is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Simple and heartfelt closing track Circle-Jack closes 13,000 Miles At Light Velocity on a high note. Sick Zip Everywhere is perfect and different song. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Mind Thief can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Melt Banana is all about. Blandished Hatman is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. The first time I listened to Iguana in Trouble I was struck by its amazing sound. Tapir’s Flown Away - Okay, I just talked about depth. Music in His Name Is Mickey is perfect as in all tracks of 13,000 Miles At Light Velocity. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Melt Banana. Some Kind of Id has a fun tempo. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Scrubber makes a person feel gorgeous. I came to like Screw, Loose. First Defy - a classic song. So Unfilial Rule is the excellent blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. S P a H I C ! is the most memorable and perfect. From the moment you listen to Picnic in Panic you’re hooked. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Some call Surfin’ U.S.A. from 13,000 Miles At Light Velocity as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Bad Gut Missed Fist is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. A unique and uplifting song. Plot in a Pot actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Melt Banana’s face.
