‘The Spirit Of St. Louis’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. It’s natural for The Manhattan Transfer to take a stab at ‘Stompin’ At Mahogany Hall’ considering her long-professed love for Azymuth. There were many famous songs of The Manhattan Transfer available. This album is a scorcher!
is the amazing blend of moody yet optimistic tunes.
The Blues Are Brewin’ marked the continuation of The Manhattan Transfer in style evolution. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Once you hear A Kiss To Build A Dream On, you will listen to it over and over. Old Man Mose - A nice song. The sound of Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Gone Fishin’ is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Nothing Could Be Hotter Than That is the most memorable and excellent. I think Blue Again is the best song The Manhattan Transfer has ever done. After few listenings I started to like When You Wish Upon A Star more and more.
