The Ballroom Band isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. While no new Tango album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in South America. Since completing 2000’s ‘Be my Baby’, Tango fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. If you love Tango as much as I do, then Tango The Ballroom Band is the CD for you!

Only one song from The Ballroom Band named Besame Mucho really got me. In Fernando full palet of sound is used by Tango to accentuate the presentation. I like the agression and power of Guitar Tango. It’s over is a great opener for The Ballroom Band. If you are a Tango fan, you will love Jealousy. I listened to the opening track Lily was here and liked it a lot. Money money money - I just love it. Nowhere man I just LOVE this mix! Pretty Wooman very upbeat. Tango sings Sunshine of your life in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Sweet Dreams is another favourite of mine. Ticket To Ride is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Such hits like Time after Time will leave you hooked. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Uptown Girl, which shows, blatantly, how much Tango has evolved as a singer.
