Self-described as Instrumental with lots of words, Torben Enevoldsen comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Torben Enevoldsen was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Torben Enevoldsen and Heavy Persuasion together. Lead single “Heavy Persuasion” and “Desert Groove” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Heavy Persuasion and Desert Groove is really good.
is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.
Desert Groove - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Cloud Nine - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Another Page because the melody in the chorus is so good. Go Figure is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Heavy Persuasion have ended. Blew our minds when we first heard Temple Of Hope. This song stands out greatly from the others. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Heads Up. Within the first few notes of About Time it’s perfectly clear that Torben Enevoldsen is living this song. Off Limits - a classic song.
