Lead single “The Prince” and “Madness” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Madness has. There is no doubt that Madness has talent. It’s Madness Too touched my soul like nothing else.
I like because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming.
Madness gives taste of what makes Madness special as a musician. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Mistakes actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Madness’s face. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with The Return Of The Los Palmas Seven. A fantastic track full of wonder. Shut Up is exquisite and different song. In A Town With No Name full palet of sound is used by Madness to accentuate the presentation. The sound in Cardiac Arrest is really warm and Madness’s signature voice is still very much present. In The City is absolutely incredible. Our House as a highlight of It’s Madness Too contains a ton of exquisite melodies. What sets Walking With Mr. Wheeze apart is Madness’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Tomorrow’s (Just Another Day) is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Victoria Gardens make listening to Madness like being in some sort of time warp. The Sun and The Rain is simple, dignified and effective, Madness refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. One listen to the sheer beauty of Michael Caine was all I needed.
