Since completing 2000’s ‘Charli’, Leontyev fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. This disc has all of the essential Leontyev classics. Leontyev’s debut, ‘Ptica V Kletke’, does not fit easily into one genre. I greatly enjoyed this CD.

Lublu Veter - I like this one. Motylek - A strong beat. The song Po Doroge V Svyatuyu Obitel ending is my favorite… so catchy! Premyera is the funkiest number on the album. Ptyca V Kletke as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. This song stands out greatly from the others. Vospominanie - To me, this is the best song on the Ptica V Kletke. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Leontyev. Lyrics of Zgila By Lubov are precise and evocative.
