It has been sixteen years Joe Dassin’ last studio CD, “Hit Collection” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Now signed to Joe Dassin’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Hit Collection” leads Joe Dassin’s back-to-school campaign. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Joe Dassin ever.

Joe Dassin is hitting on all cylinders in L’ete Indien. I hope to keep hearing Joe Dassin works for a long time to come. Et Si Tu N’existais Pas - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Il Fault Naitre A Monaco hits the heart. A Toi is such a cool and optimistic song that things can get just better. I now have Ca Va Pas Changer Le Monde as one of my personal favorites. L’equipe A Jojo presents the cool mix of instruments on Hit Collection. Salut Les Amoureux is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Si Tu T’appelles Melanchole - To me, this is the best song on the Hit Collection. L’amerique is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Siffler Sur La Colline is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Le Cafe Des A Colombes is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Le Dernier Slow is a strong cut, one of many. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Hit Collection is Comme La Lune. This track is clearly meant to showcase Joe Dassin’s vocal abilities. After about the third Le Chemin De Papa listen through, I began to believe this song is Joe Dassin’s essence. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Blue Country is a song to enjoy for years to come. Voice and instruments in Il Etait Line Fois Nous Deux complement each other. Happy Birthday is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Joe Dassin has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. First time I heard The Guitar Don’t Lie was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Taka Takata very upbeat.
