Self-described as Metal: Gothic with lots of words, Dying Passion comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. ‘Secretly’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Since Dying Passion last CD (Secretly) on SixSteps records back in 2000, I have felt a massive void in my life. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite.
Disgrace With Fortune is perfect. Secretly is a bit different from Dying Passion stereotypical stuff. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Secretly is Golden Eternity. Nightfall (Instrumental) is a fine track on any terms. It’s Snowing Through The Night is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Dying Passion ever produced. I can’t stop humming along When I Die. Lyrics of The Request are precise and evocative. A Few Steps Into Darkness is the funkiest number on the album. A Long Night (Instrumental) is a medium tempo tune.
