Now signed to Pinetop Perkins’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Back on Top” leads Pinetop Perkins’s back-to-school campaign. There is no doubt that Pinetop Perkins has talent. This album has some very good songs like Anna Lee and Down in Mississippi. Great Blues right here!
This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion.
Pinetop Perkins must have run out of lyrics on the next track Down in Mississippi. Kansas City is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Pinetop Perkins rocks harder than ever with Five Long Years. Pinetop’s Boogie Woogie is the marvelous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Hi-Heel Sneakers - I just love it. How Long Blues is a exquisite, simple song by Pinetop Perkins at the top of his game. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Just a Little Bit, which shows, blatantly, how much Pinetop Perkins has evolved as a singer. Thinks Like a Million is one of my favorite songs by Pinetop Perkins. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
