Levee Town isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There were many famous songs of Sonny Landreth available. Sonny Landreth’s debut, ‘Levee Town’, does not fit easily into one genre. Overall, I would highly recommend Levee Town CD.
The sound of is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. I’ve found myself listening to U.S.S. Zydecoldsmobile back to back and back many times. This song stands out greatly from the others. Broken Hearted Road is a very catchy tune. In Spider-Gris you won’t find any flashy solos. Godchild is outstanding work of Sonny Landreth. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Rider makes a person feel marvelous. Soul Salvation is another strong production from Sonny Landreth. Angeline is the first taste of the new album. Deep South is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood.
