It has been one years Sigur Ros and Hilmar Orn Hilmarsson’ last studio CD, “Englar Alheimsins” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This album has some very good songs like 01 - Apflug - Draumur and 02 - Minning. It’s natural for Sigur Ros and Hilmar Orn Hilmarsson to take a stab at ‘01 - Apflug - Draumur’ considering her long-professed love for Paul Oakenfold. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
is the albums biggest surprise.
In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Sigur Ros and Hilmar Orn Hilmarsson. 03 - Svarti Hundurinn Og Skoska Leikrtiip as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. I think 04 - Nipurleging is the best song Sigur Ros and Hilmar Orn Hilmarsson has ever done. Get Englar Alheimsins and turn on 05 - Yfirum if you are going to sip your wine late at night. 06 - Litbrigbi is a gorgeous, simple song by Sigur Ros and Hilmar Orn Hilmarsson at the top of his game. Englar Alheimsins couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track 07 - Stigip Nipur Til heljar. 08 - Snop is probably the highlight of the album. Strong, powerful vocals of Sigur Ros and Hilmar Orn Hilmarsson in 09 - Ferp are very impressive. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think 10 - Ennur Minning is my favorite song on Englar Alheimsins. I listened to the opening track 11 - Bakslag and liked it a lot. The first time I listened to 12 - Myk I was struck by its marvelous sound. In 13 - Schiller H Kena Sigur Ros and Hilmar Orn Hilmarsson spins a tale you want to hear to the end. 14 - Mottleysi - I like this one. 15 - Kvepja very upbeat. 16 - Bium Bium Bambalo is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Overall a nice softer song.
