It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet energies, virtually a rebirth. There is so much to love about Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. While no new Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in North America. Enjoy the show.

Summer - Party (1) is pretty funky and mellow. Summer - Coney Island Dreaming is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Summer - Party (2) is a song to enjoy for years to come. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Summer - Ghosts of Things to Come still maintains something of a specific flourish. After about the third Summer - Dreams (1) listen through, I began to believe this song is Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet’s essence. Summer - Tense (1) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet emotions are reflected through Summer - Dr. Pill. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Summer - High on Life is my favorite song on Requiem For A Dream. Summer - Ghosts - To me, this is the best song on the Requiem For A Dream. Opening track Summer - Crimin’ and Dealin’ shows the best of Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet. I think Summer - Hope Overture is the best song Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet has ever done. In Summer - Tense (2) Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet is at his best. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Fall - Cleaning Apartment - A catchy, upbeat tune. I believe Fall - Ghosts-Falling is one of the most exquisite, heartfelt songs ever written. Fall - Dreams (2) is excellent and different song. The opening track Fall - Arnold is very much like you would expect from other albums. Nice and different song. The song feels complete. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Fall - Sara Goldfarb Has Left the Building have really caught my ear and imagination. Fall - Bugs Got a Devilish Grin Conga is possibly the best song Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet has come up. When I listen to Winter - Winter Overture in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. In Winter - Southern Hospitality it becomes nowhere more obvious that Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet has yet to define own style. Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet sings his heart out in Winter - Fear. Winter - Full Tense is a astounding song and it grows on you. Winter - The Beginning of the End is absolutely incredible. Winter - Ghosts of a Future Lost pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Winter - Meltdown great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Although Winter - Lux Aeterna is very melodic it is far from sad. Winter - Coney Island Low (2:13) - awsome.
