This is one of the best Cd’s King Crimson has dropped to date. On The Deception Of The Thrush album, King Crimson have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. The Deception Of The Thrush isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Such great and happy songs.
King Crimson sings in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved.
This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Masque ProjeKct Three is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. This is one hell of a track. Masque ProjeKct Three is simple, dignified and effective, King Crimson refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Masque ProjeKct Three defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Masque ProjeKct Three is a striking and quite long song. 4 i 1 ProjeKct One is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. The sound in 2 ii 3 ProjeKct One is really warm and King Crimson’s signature voice is still very much present. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: 4 ii 4 ProjeKct One, which shows, blatantly, how much King Crimson has evolved as a singer. Sus tayn Z ProjeKct Two (6:52) - awsome. In The Deception Of The Thrush full palet of sound is used by King Crimson to accentuate the presentation. Ghost (part 1) ProjeKct Four is a perfect sing-along. Ghost (part 1) ProjeKct Four sets the tone for the entire album. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Ghost (part 2) ProjeKct Four is probably the highlight of the album. The opening track Ghost (part 2) ProjeKct Four is very much like you would expect from other albums.
