The Mirror Of Ages isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. The Mirror Of Ages carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Lead single “The Forest Lullaby” and “The Flower And The Dark Butterfly” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Another great offering from Galadriel.
Some call from The Mirror Of Ages as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.
I can’t stop playing The Flower And The Dark Butterfly. Fear In Their Eyes is worth the money. As always, Galadriel’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. In The Garden Of Lost Shades is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Galadriel must have run out of lyrics on the next track 1848. I believe Vampirian Love is one of the most excellent, heartfelt songs ever written. Lost Paths Of Unicorns is a marvelous, simple song by Galadriel at the top of his game. The Battle By Wogastisburg is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. I hope to keep hearing Galadriel works for a long time to come.
