Now signed to Sopor Aeternus’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “Dead Lover’s Sarabande (Face Two)” leads Sopor Aeternus’s back-to-school campaign. Sopor Aeternus had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. There is so much to love about Sopor Aeternus, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
one of the best in my collection.
The Dog Burial sets the tone for the entire album. The House Is Empty Now rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. No-One Is There is so unique, as each one of the songs is. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Va(r)nitas, Vanitas… Omnia Vanitas is possibly the best song Sopor Aeternus has come up. Music and lyrics of The Hourglass creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Transfiguration is probably one of Sopor Aeternus’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. In Has He Come To Test Me Sopor Aeternus spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor.
