DJ-Kicks is an amazing album, racked with beauty.DJ Cam had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. While no new DJ Cam album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in Asia. This is my first DJ Cam Album and i must say i am blown away.

Minus 8 / Zero G is a bit of a show-tune. Daphreephunkateerz / Dark Jazz - DJ Cam Remix is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Part 2 / Prelude To Cycle 6 had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Sci Fi Select / Tell The World I just LOVE this mix! The Mighty Bop / Ride A Way stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Tek 9 / Gettin’ Down Again from the beginning to the end. The sound of Rodney P. / Things In Time is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Awesome Two + Channel Five / Freestyle 1 is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I was truly moved when I heard Rasco / Unassisted. In Awesome Two + Jem / Freestyle 2 DJ Cam is at his best. Listening to Grand / The Visitor you can hear that DJ Cam has still amazing chemistry with band members. All of songs on DJ-Kicks and have something to say letting alone The Ragga Twins / Juggling. I have all of DJ Cam’s tracks and Tommy Hools / Milan is probably the most his introspective effort. DJ Cam / Bronx Theme (DJ Kicks) without a doubt is the standout song of DJ-Kicks.
