nine years ago, The Tea Party briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Temptation”. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of The Tea Party on ‘Walking Wounded’. It has been nine years The Tea Party’ last studio CD, “Tangents: The Tea Party Collection” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This album is awesome.
I believe is one of the most marvelous, heartfelt songs ever written.
I have all of The Tea Party’s tracks and Temptation is probably the most his introspective effort. Strong, powerful vocals of The Tea Party in The Messenger are very impressive. Psychopomp is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Tangents: The Tea Party Collection have ended. Charming song, great melody. The Bazaar is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. The first time I listened to Fire In The Head I was struck by its perfect sound. Release - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Heaven Coming Down is one of the best records ever. Lyrics of The River (Remix) are precise and evocative. Babylon has a fun tempo. I can’t stop playing Waiting On A Sign. Lifeline is a fine track on any terms. Paint It Black is a song to enjoy for years to come.
