Carnival Of Souls isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is the first studio album from Miranda Sex Garden since bad diagnosis in 2000. I am not a real Pop: Pop-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Carnival Of Souls’ really is amazing. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
When listening to , it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable.
Sleeping Beauty - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Tonight is the more seemingly obscure song on Carnival Of Souls that bear up best to repeated listening. All There Is is one of the more up-tempo songs on Carnival Of Souls. Broken Glass on Carnival Of Souls is solid and easy to listen to. Blew our minds when we first heard Escape From Kilburn. Miranda Sex Garden has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. In Without Trace the music gets its power. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Caravan. Music and lyrics of Thrusty Bob’s Hardcore Lounge (Incidental) creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. I listened to the opening track Close To The Sky and liked it a lot. After you’ve listened to Ever and Ever, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
