After debuting at No. 1 last week, Ancient Ceremony’s album Synagoga Diabolica falls to No. 2 with 984,000, a sales slide of 94%. This album has some very good songs like Synagoga Diabolica and Forbidden Fruit Sapientia. Since completing 2000’s ‘Synagoga Diabolica’, Ancient Ceremony fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Synagoga Diabolica is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit.
Forbidden Fruit Sapientia on Synagoga Diabolica is solid and easy to listen to. Soul Darwinism - A nice song. Choir Of Immortal Queens is simple, dignified and effective, Ancient Ceremony refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Deorum Contemptor is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Synagoga Diabolica is Crowned Child. Exodus is Ancient Ceremony’s best work in years. Creeping Death is astounding. The Devil Introduces (Demo) is perfect and different song. I can’t stop humming along Forbidden Fruit Sapientia (Dem…). Ancient Ceremony emotions are reflected through Crowned Child.
