Exterminator carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Primal Scream’s debut, ‘Exterminator’, does not fit easily into one genre. Lead single “Kill All Huppies” and “Accelerator” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Unappreciated gift to Electronic
gives taste of what makes Primal Scream special as a musician.
Accelerator still maintains something of a specific flourish. Exterminator - arguably the best track on Exterminator album. Swastika Eyes [jagz kooner mix] is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Pills had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Blood Money actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Primal Scream’s face. Keep Your Dreams gives taste of what makes Primal Scream special as a musician. Primal Scream has astounded me with this amazing track. Mbv Arkestra [If They Move Kill ‘Em] as a highlight of Exterminator contains a ton of excellent melodies. Vocals of Primal Scream in Swastika Eyes [chemical brothers mix] really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. This song is dynamic and dramatic.
