Mind Blowin’ isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Self-described as Alternative with lots of words, Vanilla Ice comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. When you buy a Vanilla Ice album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Excellent vocals and musical performances. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Get ‘em Now. The Wrath make listening to Vanilla Ice like being in some sort of time warp. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Roll ‘em Up is my favorite song on Mind Blowin’. Song Hit ‘em Hard is actually a funny song. This track is clearly meant to showcase Vanilla Ice’s vocal abilities. Now and Forever is a very catchy tune. Iceman Path is one of the best records ever. Only one song from Mind Blowin’ named Oh My Gosh really got me. Minutes Of Power is one of the coolest songs Vanilla Ice has ever recorded. In I Go Down the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Bullet On The Chart is absolutely incredible. It’s such an underrated song. Blowin’ My Mind which is my favorite is a truly Vanilla Ice sounding song. Son Of A Gun is the most memorable and perfect. Don’t judge Get Loose on the first listening.
