Self-described as Electronic with lots of words, Edward Ka-Spel comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. While no new Edward Ka-Spel album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in Europe. It has been three years Edward Ka-Spel’ last studio CD, “The Scriptures Of Illumina” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like The Scriptures Of Illumina.
This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists.
In Memoires Of Dr. Bliss Edward Ka-Spel spins a tale you want to hear to the end. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Homage is one of the best records ever. This track is a great song that still never gets old. After you’ve listened to Mayday, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. The Never Man is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Laughing Venus - This one makes me want to not only sing along. There Was A Crooked Man is a striking and quite long song. Illumina 2 has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Edward Ka-Spel’s strong vocals come to the fore. Simple and heartfelt closing track The Last Door On The Left closes The Scriptures Of Illumina on a high note.
