Now signed to David Hallyday’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Un Paradis/Un Enfer” leads David Hallyday’s back-to-school campaign. Since completing 2000’s ‘Ange Etrange’, David Hallyday fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. On Un Paradis/Un Enfer album, David Hallyday have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Unappreciated gift to Pop
After you’ve listened to , most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
This song stands out greatly from the others. David Hallyday must have run out of lyrics on the next track On S’En Va. In J’Attends Que Ca Morde it becomes nowhere more obvious that David Hallyday has yet to define own style. Un Paradis Un Enfer is probably the highlight of the album. I love the melodic melody of Tu Ne M’As Pas Laisse Le Temps and to this day it makes me feel good. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of David Hallyday. From the moment you listen to Ca N’Est Pas Tout you’re hooked. Voice of David Hallyday in Virtuel is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Un Petit Peu De Toi is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. This song may be the most meaningful. Le Manque A Donner (Version 2000) is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Le Manque a Donner motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others.
