The Best Of isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. fifteen years ago, Vaya Con Dios briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Just A Friend Of Mine”. This is one of the best Cd’s Vaya Con Dios has dropped to date. The Best Of is the best essence of Vaya Con Dios.
Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think is my favorite song on The Best Of.
Just A Friend Of Mine without a doubt is the standout song of The Best Of. Puerto Rico (4:20) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Johnny is a striking and quite long song. Something’s Got A Hold On Me is just simply stunning. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. I think I Don’t Want To Know is the best song Vaya Con Dios has ever done. What’s A Woman? is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Opening track Time Flies shows the best of Vaya Con Dios. Farewell Song gives good insight into the truths. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Heading For A Fall is my favorite song on The Best Of. Get The Best Of and turn on At The Parallel if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Don’t Break My Heart is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Stay With Me from the beginning to the end. Lonely Feeling is possibly the best song Vaya Con Dios has come up. The sound in Evening Of Love is really warm and Vaya Con Dios’s signature voice is still very much present.
