‘Sound Of Water’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. It has been four years Saint Etienne’ last studio CD, “Sound Of Water” which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. There is so much to love about Saint Etienne, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Heart Failed (In The Back Of A Taxi)
is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Sound Of Water.
Opening track Heart Failed (In The Back Of A Taxi) shows the best of Saint Etienne. A unique and uplifting song. This song stands out greatly from the others. Just A Little Overcome - A nice song. Music and lyrics of Boy Is Crying creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Aspects Of Lambert has a fun tempo. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Saint Etienne. In How We Used To Live the music gets its power. The Place At Dawn hits the heart.
