Zenith is an amazing album, racked with beauty. On Zenith album, Dan Ar Braz have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. After seeing Green Lands, I had to have a good Dan Ar Braz cd. If you want to hear real Celtic, get this record now!
I loved the first time I heard it.
Charming song, great melody. Left in Peace is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Call to the Dance is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Dir Ha Tan - another great track from the Zenith album. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Yezhou Bihan - This is a very lively song. Pays is absolutely incredible. Kilbrandon (The Little Cascade) is one of the more up-tempo songs on Zenith. Mi le M’ Uilinn is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Canto de Seitura is nothing but pure genius. Dan Ar Braz is hitting on all cylinders in Aires de Pontevedra. Costa de Galicia had me crying as I was able to relate so well. AR y Ffordd is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Zenith have ended. Chestnut Tree/The Dreaming Sea is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Se Mo Gradh Na Gamhna Geala is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Evit at Bars is my favorite song on Zenith. Broken Prayer - I just love it.
