On Bossa Nova album, Antonio Carlos Jobim have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This disc has all of the essential Antonio Carlos Jobim classics. Antonio Carlos Jobim had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Antonio Carlos Jobim ever.
Antonio Carlos Jobim sings in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved.
No More Blues (Chega de Saudade) is probably one of Antonio Carlos Jobim’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Once I Loved is a very catchy tune. Meditation is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. The Girl from Ipanema is the more seemingly obscure song on Bossa Nova that bear up best to repeated listening. One Note Samba - Check out that bassline! How Insensitive is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. O Grande Amor one of the best in my collection. Triste - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Wave is really the reason why I recommend buying Bossa Nova. So Dano Samba is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Corcovado is nothing short of a modern masterpiece.
