On the Holland charts, superstar Maire Brennan’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. John Digester has compared writing for Maire Brennan’s new album to that on ‘Whisper To The Wind Water’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is the first studio album from Maire Brennan since bad diagnosis in 1999. I greatly enjoyed this CD.

Where I Stand - arguably the best track on Whisper To The Wind Water album. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. In Peacemaker A full palet of sound is used by Maire Brennan to accentuate the presentation. Thug Tu is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. One listen to the sheer beauty of Ageless Messenger was all I needed. Still going through Whisper To The Wind Water and coming to appreciate To The Water more and more with every listen. The opening track Mary Of The Gaels is very much like you would expect from other albums. You Hold My Hands is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Is Tu Amhain motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. You have to get essence of the Sign From The Hills A’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Whisper To The Wild Water is outstanding work of Maire Brennan. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing.
